Early Years Stronger Practice Advisers (SPAs)

We are recruiting Early Years Stronger Practice Advisers (SPA) to work across Norfolk and Suffolk. This is the latest iteration of the Experts and Mentors programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced early years professionals to make a real impact supporting settings to improve quality and helping give children the Best Start in Life.

  • Group Based Provision SPA (4 roles): You will currently be working within a setting/school directly with children or working within a local authority early years team, directly supporting settings.

  • Childminder SPA (1 role):  You will currently be working as a childminder/childminder assistant or be working within a local authority supporting childminders

  •  Your setting will be reimbursed an allocated day rate of £500/day for group-based providers and £400/day for childminders.  The roles are funded up until March 2028 in the first instance, with the possibility of contracts being extended dependent on funding.
  • Group-based providers will provide support for up to three settings per term and childminders will support one cluster of up to four childminders  per term.

You will have experience of working with children aged between 0 to 4 years old in an early childhood education context and you will be qualified to level 6 for group-based SPA role and level 3 for the childminder SPA role.
